parenting from the inside out bookAt one time or another, parents finds themselves asking, “Why did I sign up for this job?” To help them cope with parenting issues, a new group is forming, called ‘Parenting from the Inside Out’. The process used is based on techniques found in the book, Parenting from the Inside Out, by child psychiatrist Daniel J. Siegel, and early childhood expert Mary Hartzell.

Parenting from the Inside Out is a new approach to parenting, one that will deepen the parent’s understanding of themselves, and in the process, the internal worlds of their children. Parents will learn to recognize triggers that keep them emotionally imprisoned, and that inhibit their personal and parental potential.

If you need help to be the parent you want to be, and to help your children thrive, join Prince George’s Parenting from the Inside Out Group. For more information about the technique used, or how to join the group, please call Dawn Sather, MSW, RSW, Therapist, at 250-564-6230.
