Random Jokes | Questions | Quotes | Part 5

Jokes, thoughts and questions to entertain enquiring minds:

» We’ve all heard about the harms of high fat diets, and the negative affect that they have on long term memory, but recent British research on short term memory and problem solving skills of lab animals that have ingested high fat foods, found that their short term memory declined by 15%, and, in just nine days! This is something school age parents should really take note of, as their children’s diets will significantly impact educational development, which in turn, will affect the rest of their entire lives.

» A man was bitten by his pet cobra and taken to the hospital. The doctor asked, “Did you see the cobra before it bit you?” “Yes,” sighed the man, “and I’m actually pretty embarrassed, because I knew him poisonally.”

» A fan of 1960s music, I got tickets for my teen son and I near the front row, to see one of Canada’s best music legends, Gordon Lightfoot, in concert. When the show began, we looked back and saw hundreds of little lights swaying to the music. At first we thought it was the people holding up their cigarette lighters, but then realized the twinkling sea of lights was the reflection of stage lights off of eyeglasses.

» I was recently riding with a friend of mine. We came to a red light, and he shot right through it. I asked him, “Why’d you do that?” He told me that it was how his brother drives. We came to another red light, and again, he shot right through it. I asked him, “Why’d you do that?” Again, he told me that it was how his brother drives. We came to a green light, and he slammed on the brakes. I shouted at him, “Good Grief! Why did you do that?!” He replied, “Because my brother could be coming the other way.”

» Have you dreamed of a rainbow lately? If you have, here’s what dream interpreters say it means: Because they arrive after a storm, rainbows are seen as signs of good things to come. They indicate that, though you’ve gone through a rough patch, you’re feeling better and things are looking up. Dreaming of rainbows is a subconcious reminder that life is about the journey, not the destination.
