Soda Pot
A California entrepreneur came up with a sparkling idea, Soda Pot (Canna Cola), a line of medical marijuana soft drinks. Clay Butler, a resident of Soquel, and a commercial artist, says that he plans to supply medical marijuana dispensaries with his bubbly buzz which contains marijuana’s psychoactive ingredient THC, according to the Santa Cruz Sentinel newspaper.
Marijuana Drinks
Marijuana drinks are currently on the market, but Clay is convinced that his branding savvy will push his product right to the top. His flagship drink, Canna Cola, will join a line of bottled products including Dr. Pepper-like Doc Weed, Lemon-Lime Sour Diesel, grape-flavored Grape Ape and orange-flavored Orange Kush. Bottles are expected to retail for $10 to $15 each. Butler says he doesn’t do drugs, nor does he require medical marijuana for ailments.
“People really like the idea of having a drink, especially our elderly population,” says Joanna LaForce, a medical marijuana pharmacist in Soquel. “Soda Pot will not be any more accessible than other marijuana products,” Butler says.
