Zombie is a word that has become synonymous with staggering, single-minded, undead flesh eaters – but the term originates from the ancient practice of VooDoo.
The first published article to mention the term ‘zombie’, was a 1929 article on voodoo in Haiti, by a popular Haitian magazine. The first actual zombie movie, White Zombie, was released in 1932, and starred Bela Lugosi. But, it was George Romero’s 1968 classic, Night of the Living Dead, that revolutionized horror films, and spawned hundreds of other zombie related films. Now there is speculation that perhaps there is a sinister motivation behind the zombie craze, one that is far more evil, and poses a far greater danger, than any of us know.
Governments have long been known for brainwashing the masses, and throughout history have done so by using very creative, and effective means, ranging from the use of propaganda, to full on ‘do or die’ laws. In modern history, the North American governments have programmed the public to be ‘upright, hard working, patriotic citizens’, but there is also a very good chance that they are subconsciously preparing them for a future event(s) that they have knowledge of, and that the public does not. In fact, there may be a direct link between the popularity of ‘Zombie Apocalypse’ movies, and the preparation for a total global economic collapse, attack by an invading military, or even the possibility of an extraterrestrial invasion.
Put yourself in a government’s shoes. How do you prepare the public to mentally face being attacked by an apocalyptic hoard of disgusting, murderous creatures, but without causing public panic? How can you de-sensitize the masses to the idea of blowing other creatures, including human beings, to smithereens? How would you subconsciously educate them, without causing public panic? Wouldn’t you use the most popular entertainment vehicles, such as print media, movies and television? After all, to directly acknowledge the threat to the public, would cause instant public hysteria, leading to looting, riots and mass murder.
Say you were a government, helpless to forestall an economic meltdown, wouldn’t you want something to prepare people for the fact that cities will be transformed into mass graves, as people are murdered and starve to death, and that countrysides and wilderness will be turned into battlegrounds for human survival? Or, as a government, what if you knew that a massively powerful foreign government had intentions to invade your country, with a military that far outnumbered yours, and that was far better armed? Wouldn’t you want to mentally prepare the public without making them hysterical, so that every man, woman and child was ready to fight to the death, to protect their family and property? But, the one thing that no one seems to be seriously considering, is the possibility than an invasion may not even be by humans.
Enter the combination of decades of UFO hype, decades of movies, books and television shows about alien armies, extraterrestrial invaders, and Zombie-like flesh eaters, and you have the perfect storm. Now, not only are there things that are trying to kill you, they want to take you home and put you in their fridge. Has it all been the news media, entertainment industry and the government working in collusion to prepare North America, and the world, for an extraterrestrial invasion? Do governments, or secret organizations like the ‘Illuminati’, have access to information that public does not, and, therefore are trying to psychologically ready the citizens for horrors that are straight out of our nightmares? Are all the ancient predictions about to merge into reality, a reality that is so horrible, that it exceeds the borders of human imagination?
