Lessons We Learn From The Creator
There are many lessons the Creator teaches us. For instance, once upon a time, two friends were walking through the forest. While following a river they got into a heated argument, and one friend struck the other in the face. The friend who was struck was hurt, but without saying anything, bent down and wrote in the sand, ‘Today My Best Friend Struck Me In The Face’.
They continued walking for quite some time, until they came upon a swampy area, where the one who had been struck got stuck in the mire and started to drown. The friend who had struck him rushed to help, and saved him. After he’d recovered from the near drowning, the rescued friend took a small stone and carved in a large rock, ‘Today My Best Friend Saved My Life’.
The friend who’d both struck him and saved his life, asked, “After I struck you, you wrote in the sand, but now, after I help you, you write on a rock. Why?” The friend softly replied, “The Creator teaches us that when someone hurts us, we must write it down in sand, where the winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone, where no wind can ever erase it.”
