Did you know there is an ugly side of beauty?
The sad truth is that many salons hire people who have never attended a reputable trade school, and are not qualified to be performing services.Salons, that care so little as to employ these unqualified people, put you at serious risk for many serious diseases and disorders. They can also ‘accidentally’ injure persons with health risks, often with tragic results. Here are just a few examples of why being treated by a qualified technician is so important:
Item 1 – Never use nippers or blades on a diabetic person. This could lead to ulcers, infections, gangrene, amputation and death.
Item 2 – Never wax over varicose veins. Doing so could dislodge a blood clot that can then lodge in the heart or brain, causing a stroke or fatality.
Item 3 – Never give a chemical peel to those prone to cold sores, it could spread them over the entire face.
Item 4 – Never wax anyone taking acne medication. This could cause the thinning skin to literally rip right off.
Item 5 – Never ‘double dip’ in bikini wax. This could pass infections from one client to the next.
I realize that this is seriously scary stuff, but you really need to know. Does your current salon hire unqualified people? Before you let ANYONE work on your body, ask for their qualifications and ask to see their diploma. If they fail to provide one, find someone who does. Beauty is skin deep, but diseases go to the bone.
